What is more amusing is that a lot of "non-believers" actually follow the love, grace, non-judging teachings of Jesus in thier day to day being without realising it! HaHa! January 6th, 2009 at 06:56:07 i 2 have given up 'religion.' whether people believe in Jesus or not, iv decided 2 leave rules behind & follow His message. In fact people would b suprised how against religion & taboo rules Jesus was. He was put 2 death 4 rebelling against churches & judgmental people! His values & moral teachings r a guide i have chosen 2 live by. Life isnt magically easier 4me, but it has taught me wisdom. im embarrassed that christians have become as religious as those 'pharasies' Jesus fought against.

If he's with friends or debating, then of course he has freedom in what he believes & says. He hates christians for bible bashing & judging, but i feel he's doing the same thing but 4 his side. He may not have said christians are idiots - but whats more damaging is that he's mocking something that may be precious 2 many people...put it in the form of 'stand up comedy' for something 2 b laughed at.

January 6th, 2009 at 08:28:03 @funnyface0983 - As a final thought, with Carlin's line in mind - Let's first be more human to each other and THEN let us (humans) debate about religions/gods/spiritual truths, because you ARE right - a lot of religious people missed the point of their religion (not only christians). Oh, and yeah I was christian. I abandoned religion because I wanted to - but it's not that I don't believe in ANYTHING. I believe that SOMETHING created us, I just don't think it's something that we can understand.
January 6th, 2009 at 08:51:02 @funnyface0983 - if you don't like Carlin - it's fine with me. i won't argue with you. but you can never say he was stupid (of course I'm not accusing you of saying so). he is one of a few people that doesn't give a sh*t about taboo or political correctness. if something's bad for humanity, he doesn't hide the topic. my personal favourite line by George is "we don't know how to care for ourselves and we want to save the F***ING planet?!".
January 6th, 2009 at 09:14:01 funnyface0983 - yes you have a good point. but George says "religion is bullshit" - fine. it is kind of offensive if you're a believer. but he never said something like "all who believe in God are idiots" (if he did say something along those lines - please correct me). also remember that by saying "religion is bullshit" he stated his opinion. he was human, he had a free will and had a right to state his opinion - so do you (for example when you state George is a horrible man)

I, myself was judged a lot by "religous" people just because I don't believe in anything. but I won't change my mind even in the worst scenarios and you should do the same - have faith in what you believe and don't stop being a good person. never break, never be thought-enslaved and never stop caring about others. We have our free will, so only our own decisions our important for us. THAT is one of those things that makes us human. Cheers :D

God gave us free will so we may decide for ourselves. If someone wants to not believe in anything - it's his/hers choice. I am a atheist but I respect every religion. So was Carlin - he respected religious people, even though he does a lot of bashing in his routines. On a side note - I believe that you don't need gods or symbols to be a good person :)

So for the billions of people who experience God or believe in life after death, this tool thinks that his idea overules every1 elses. On what grounds does he get his facts from? or R they just ideas in his head that he's now making his own gospel? His gospel has less credibility than the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope he found peace b4 he passed away.
