A tutorial that quickly explains how to synchronise Reaper to Renoise so that you can play large media files (audio and / or video) along that does not require additional 09xx offset commands to get your long samples synchronised to your arranger positions in Renoise. A few things not really splendid explained: - the bpm of the mediafile that you want to synchronize is leading no matter if Renoise is master or slaved to Reaper. - The ReaRoute 1/2 output is automatically set in Renoise if the ReaRoute Asio driver is being selected. - It is possible to route other tracks back into Renoise using other ReaRoute channel combinations and then use a line-in device inside Renoise and you can mute the external track from inside Renoise during mixing. Uncheck the "Send master" option of that particular track in Reaper to disable double output or echo effects. "Beat It" is a hit single from Michael Jackson's album Thriller, released in 1983 (see 1983 in music). It was the third single from the album, following "The Girl Is Mine" (a duet with Paul McCartney) and "Billie Jean". "Beat It" won Jackson two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. It was also nominated for Song of the Year along with Jackson's "Billie Jean". Rolling Stone ranked it #337 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. "Beat It" is also notable for its guitar solo, a guest performance by Eddie Van Halen. In a reader's poll made by Guitar World magazine the solo was voted as the 67th greatest guitar solo of all time out of the 100. The lyrics are about life on the streets and gang fighting and killings. In 2008, the song was re-recorded by Jackson and R&B artist Fergie for Thriller 25, a special edition of the original album, commemorating the 25th anniversary of its release. Pop punk band Fall Out Boy also released a cover of the song which featured John Mayer playing the guitar solo. In the years directly preceding "Beat It", Jackson had already composed several of his own hit songs. His Off the Wall album, released in 1979 (see 1979 in music) and produced by Quincy Jones, featured two of his compositions -- "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Working Day and Night" -- as well as a third co-written with Louis Johnson, "Get on the Floor". Providing a dramatic electric guitar solo during the bridge of the song is Eddie Van Halen from the rock group Van Halen. According to Jones, when he first contacted the guitarist about appearing on the song, Eddie Van Halen didn't believe he was who he said he was, or that the offer was authentic. Nevertheless, he went on to provide the defining element that set the song apart from other Jackson tunes to date. Eddie Van Halen, famously, did not request payment for his performance. Steve Lukather, who played lead guitar on the track, stated: "Quincy Jones and Michael took a skeleton version of "Beat It" up to Eddie Van Halen's place as they wanted him to solo over the verse section. However, he played over a section that had more chord changes. So to fit his solo to where it went in the song, they had to cut the tape which took a lot of time to synchronise together." I didnt want that to happen! I mumbled through the pillow. Katherines POV I finished packing my school stuff and walked downstairs. I grabbed an apple and walked outside waiting for the bus. The bus pulled up and Nick started walking out of the house. I made my way through and sat at my usual spot on my own. Nick sat with his girlfriend and kissed her the whole way to school: as per usual. I was going to throw-up. When we got to school, I headed to math again. Great, long division AGAIN. I was once again the first person finished so Miss Court gave me an early mark. I sat down at the oval with my guitar and started singing the song I sang this morning again. Did I forget to mention that Joe, Nick and Kevins band is starting to sky rocket? After this year, Nicks going to get home-schooled. The bell rang and I headed to life science. I have had to work with Nick in life science this whole time... Man was that awkward. I sat down at my table next to Nick who was already waiting there. Youll be working with your table partner again because its sort of carrying on from the fake baby project. I rolled my eyes. Okay. This project is extremely serious. Anyway, Charlotte here is almost two years old. Youll be working with your babies for one and a half semesters including summer. I know its more than half the year but too bad. Um, what else do you need to know? Oh yes, youll be taking work experience to the jobs you picked earlier to see if you can cope looking after your babies as well as a job. Youll also need to synchronise your classes again. Oh and by the way, Charlotte isnt allergic to anything, I looked down at her cute little face. You can take your seats now, Miss Bell said as she passed Nick and huge bag full of baby supplies. Nick and I walked back to our seats as another couple walked up to the teacher. She so cute! Her cute little eyes just stared up at me and she slightly giggled. I started playing with her cheek and she grabbed my finger. I smiled and played with her basically the whole period as Nick just watched us. He looked like he was thinking. Nick and I left school that day a little bit more comfortable with each other. Were actually excited about this baby project! We walked off the bus with Melody in my arms and Nick resting his arm on my opposite shoulder. We walked through the door and Joe walked up to us. Oh what a cute baby! Whos the parents? We are! Joe fell to the floor. Joe? Joe? Are you okay? He quickly got back up. Joe did not look impressed. You... you... You guys are parents? Yes, Nick replied. Joe choked. He gave me a look. Oh God! Joe! Not like that! Did I have a huge stomach for the past nine months? Its a homework assignment you dork! I laughed. Oh thank God, Joe sighed as his face went back to normal. He walked up to me and gave me a hug. I dont want to lose you, Neither did I, I heard Nick whisper to himself. I gave him a look and Melody started crying. Oh ssh. Melody. I went to the backroom to change her while Joe and Nick started talking. I could only make up a few words.
